WHAT IS AN INBODY SCAN?

In Body Scan

The InBody 770 body scan measures your body composition and provides a detailed, yet easy to understand report.

Your body is made up of Proteins, body water, minerals and body fat, which are the components of the human body which relate to your well-being and health.

The Inbody 770 uses bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) which send low-frequency electrical currents through the water in the body.

WHAT IS BODY COMPOSITION?

Body composition is the break down of what our body is made of. Muscle, fat, bone & water. Watch the video below to see how the Inbody scan works to help you manage your body composition.

WHY THE INBODY 770?

CLINICALLY PROVEN

Over 2500 Studies conducted using the Inbody scan by professionals around the world. Validation studies can be viewed here.

60 SECOND TESTS

Inbody scan tests are completely non-invasive and can be completed in 60 seconds.

HELPS YOU TO TRAIN SMARTER

Knowing what your body composition is will allow you to make better changes to your diet and exercise regime which means getting results you want faster.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN

Below is a break down of each segment of the results and what it means.

The weight of Total Body Water (water inside and outside the cell), dry lean mass and body fat mass. Body weight is the total of these 3.

A comparison between your weight, skeletal muscle mass & body fat mass. The lengths of the bar graphs shows the relationship between the current weight to the average value for that specific segment based on the examinee’s height.

Displays BMI (body mass index) and percentage body fat (PBF). PBF is a more accurate interpretation of your health because it compares your body fat levels to your weight.

The lean distribution of mass within the 5 segments of the user’s body.  This allows to monitor changes in greater detail and make changes as necessary.

TBW (Total Body Water) is made of Intracellular and extracellular water (ICW & ECW). Ideal ECW/TBW ratio  is between 0.360-0.390. This analyis can discover unsual shifts in fluid distribution.

Saved results from previous Inbody 770 tests completed. This allows for quick and easy progress updates.

Visceral fat is the fat that can sit around the organs. high levels of visceral fat leads to greater heath risks.

It is recommended to keep your visceral fat levels under 100 square centimetres.

Allows you compare body fat & lean muscle mass.

The distribution of body fat around 5 areas of the body displaying the weight and percentage.

Basil Metabolic Rate (BMR) is how much energy the body needs to use at rest. The higher the lean body mass (muscle mass) the higher the BMR will be.

The leg is the largest component of skeletal muscle mass and is important in risk prevention (eg falls). This data can be used to make necessary changes to physical exercise.

Used to compare the density of the muscle mass to the water in their cells.

In the opposition to a change in current or voltage. This is used to measure the phase angle.

Indicates the health of the cell and Intracellular water (ICW). Higher phase angles indicates greater cell health and/or fluid in the cell.

Segmental impedance values  at various frequencies to gain an accurate analysis of the body.
